It started drizzling the rain shortly after we left the hotel this morning. I was in hope "drizzle" was all we would get. Unfortunately, it poured for hours raining all the way through Elkins and nearly to Harpers Ferry. It did stop in time for us to enjoy Harper's Ferry State Park.

This is one of those pleasant surprizes on the trip. I had no idea how big and detailed this park is.

You park at the Visitors Center and ride a shuttle bus down to the town.

There are shops, museums and historic points everywhere,
