It started drizzling the rain shortly after we left the hotel this morning. I was in hope "drizzle" was all we would get. Unfortunately, it poured for hours raining all the way through Elkins and nearly to Harpers Ferry. It did stop in time for us to enjoy Harper's Ferry State Park.

This is the old canal. Trees not grow where the old canal was filled with water, The walkway is known as a tow path. Mules use to pull boats along through the canal which takes then around the shallow water. The canal, tow path and river Ned survived the rain in fine fashion. Stopping to eat. Just as I realized my billfold was missing. Thanks to the Park Service who was able to contact a Ranger and whoever turned it in for me....although short $80 I got everything else back.
