Cherohala Skyway is one of the most beautiful areas in the East and a destination on a Day Trip. It has been said that checking the weather forecast before traveling this road is a waste of time. It's almost always raining!

Deal's Gap is located in on Highway 129 near Robbinsville, NC. It will be a resting spot on most of the rides we take in that area.

Kickstand Lodge is a motorcycle riders resort in Stecoah, North Carolina (Near the Dragon and Deals Gap.) Located in the Smoky Mountains, surrounded by the best riding in the southeast, the Kickstand Lodge is a great destination for a weekend get-away or a week long stay.

Stations Inn Restaurant, and Country Store is located at mile post 248 on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Hwy.18 in Laurel Springs N.C. This early motor lodge built in 1950's has been restored with photos and signs telling the history of Laurel Spring sand the golden age of traveling the parkway. Our inn features 17 guest rooms and a suite with cable TV, A/C, smoking, non-smoking, and rooms for those traveling with their pet.

Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap contains information about Highway 129 and the area surrounding Deal's Gap to include the Cherohala Skyway. The Webmaster takes the time to post weekly photos taken in the area, usually from the overlook on the Dragon. Take a look at this well maintained site.

Knoxville Rider Education Program - Motorcycling can be a thrilling and challenging experience. The safe operation of a motorcycle requires practiced skill, knowledge, and a respectful understanding of the limitations imposed by the operator, the machine, and the environment.
Believing in the benefits of rider education, the Tennessee Department of Safety administers the Tennessee Motorcycle Rider Education Program.
This program provides a combination of rider education and other motorcycle issues. For example, public awareness initiatives, information of the effects of alcohol and drugs, licensing procedures.

The Mill House Restaurant, Townsend, TN. - This biker friendly restaurant serves excellent food in the rustic surroundings of a old house just across the street from the old mill site. Check out their web site and give this place a try for your dining pleasure.

Shady Valley Country Store - Shady Valley is becoming a "Motorcycle Mecca". Within a 12 mile radius of the store there are 489 curves and some of the most beautiful scenery in the tri-states. SVCS is the landing and launch site for the......"Triple Threat". Located at "The Crossroads" of highways 421 / 133 / 91 in the valley of the Iron, Cross and Holston mountains. Shady Valley Country Store was founded in 1948 by Mr. Dennis Plummer and was purchased by Carroll and Peggy Long in the spring of 1998. It is one of the oldest, continuous businesses in Johnson County, Tennessee. The present location was built in 1956 and provides this beautiful mountain community with groceries, hardware, feed and other general merchandise.

Shiloh Motor Hotel and Campground - Located near Knoxville, TN., this hotel is run by Harley riders for Harley riders. Its design takes from the 1950's, when 'Roadhouses' were a way of life for the traveler.

Virginia

Blue Ridge Parkway actually runs through Virginia AND North Carolina and is one of the best rides in the East.

West Virginia

Cass Scenic Railroad is a West Virginia State Park that evolves around old steam locomotives used to recover timber from the steep mountains. Pack a picnic lunch and take the train to Bald Knob which is the second highest peak in West Virginia.

Greenbank, West Virginia has a large radio telescope that is unbelievable. See it for yourself as the photos on this site are not as impressive as the real thing.

Misty Mountain Rentals offers cabins and condos in the Slaty Fork and Snow Shoe Area.

Monongahela National Forest is a fantastic riding adventure in the eastern U.S. It is 901,000 acres of natural beauty with countless roads and trails. History surrounds the National Forest including Civil War points of interest.
